The EW5 wrist SOS button fastens like an ordinary watch and simply stays there — it is not set down on a table, forgotten in a drawer, or left behind in a room. Whenever the senior feels the need for assistance, one press sends a wireless alert to the receiver or annunciator panel, and the caregiver, nurse or family knows right away.

EW5 belongs to the family of wearable technologies: the same idea behind smart watches, but with one vital mission — shrinking the gap between needing help and help arriving. Because it is permanently on the hand, the chance of losing or forgetting it is practically zero.

The path of a help request, step by step

• Step 1 — pressing the SOS button on the wrist
• Step 2 — the wireless signal goes out within a split second
• Step 3 — the receiver sounds and/or lights its alarm (depending on model)
• Step 4 — the caregiver or nurse arrives in the shortest possible time

The outcome of this four-step chain is the minimum achievable delay between an incident and receiving help.

Ready within minutes

The EW5 asks for no wiring and no wall mounting: fasten the strap like a watch, pair the button with a compatible receiver, and that is it. Larger facilities can connect multiple buttons to one receiver or multiple receivers to one button to widen alert coverage. A neck lanyard is also included in the box, so the unit can be worn around the neck instead of the wrist if preferred.
