The wired caller unit plays the same role as the call-initiating device of the hospital code announcement system, but over a dedicated cable infrastructure. Staff press the matching key in an emergency and the situation — from resuscitation and fire to facilities, crisis and security — is played as a voice message through the built-in speaker and transceiver of the announcer devices at the target team. The communication backbone here is an independent CAT6 cable carrying both power and data on one line.

How the wired version works :

Pressing the key on the caller unit sends the signal through the dedicated cabling to the central announcer panel; the panel forwards the place and type of the request to the announcer devices with the relevant team, and the voice message plays from their built-in speaker and connected transceiver. Message delivery is guaranteed by encrypted full-duplex communication.
